it's about losing and remembering. how many things are made to be remembered. while for others we cant help but remember.
CAUTIONARY WAVEStellings stories of legends
myths of times rare
lands sunken with each wave of time
such will last my lifetime
and many more to come
but there are times
when we look out to sea
peaceful waves lapse over
yet we know something's not right
nothing just seems the same tonight
how long will we last?
stand the test of time
grow old with each strand of white hair
with each wrinkle of our face
will the memory of all this disappear?
out in the horizon
day is giving way to the night
vast planes of magnificence
joined as one with another in the sky
will it all go away someday?
she used to call them cautionary waves
when the tide rises high
and the rocks disappear under
the foam now leaves itself on the shore
all a blur and nothing more
the stories i knew so well
told others and understood
told to me by her alone
everyday i sit at this same spot
waiting for the next wave of thought of her
it is here i find her spirit
only here i know her soul exists still
with each lap of the wave
comes a single flash of her
waves which she disappeared under
remembering isnt easy
neither is forgetting
i wish she'd believed it herself
those waves werent anything ordinary
like legends they were forever keeping her.
