maybe even more

MAYBE EVEN MORE

wind twirled the willows
blown to spirals of white
round the air the spirit
of the lost lonely longing

life in the valley
hostess of the party
owner of the lonely
pride of her parents

she walks in and heads turn
in her direction gazing
somewhere in the corner maybe
that is where she will find

friend to the outcasted
hope to the sick
dream of so many
just another in the crowd

her eyes shift as quickly
as her mind allows
recognising and familiarising
but wheres the one she wants

dependable shoulder
cloud shading the scorch
"someday you'll find happiness"
consultation for the troubled

people stare back in blank
needle sharp insults even
but she's not bothering them
she's not looking for them

perfection epitomised?
perceptive finalised
inside breeds each disease
she helped to rid in others

what a facade, so superficial
wheres her hope
where are the words
lost are the actions

she needs it as much as them
she needs him maybe even more
