idle wind

this one is by a friend who chooses to remain anoynomous.

IDLE WIND

now comes spring
in the heat of things
in full bloom is was meant
not to me my fate is bent

its been lies I say
thinking it doesn’t stay
deep inside this shallow pit
feelings aren’t quite fit

nothing’s in, void
press deep and find space
too weak to settle
on this bottomless race

midst of the flowering fields
an idle wind is
Lilacs smile and roses dance
against me, I must forgo the chance

some things I know
I am not alone
for there is a conversion
from embedment to drone

As always
seasons come and go
spring will end, summer’s here
out comes the sun again
so crawl out of the rabbit hole
its more than just than gold

so pray with time it’ll fade
just like how it was made
so heartbroken I may leave
its good for me, a lousy thief
